Dec. 23rd, 2011 07:26 pmStranded within Retroville's own famous Retroland, two teenagers (one boy and one girl) sat upon the flat roof of one of Retroland's many snack shacks. A blanked was laid out and spread at the very center of the roof, with the bodies of aforementioned boy and girl holding it down (it was a tad windy). The girl had her pink backpack to her left, from which she had procured a rather wooly blanket that not only covered her comfortably, but it covered her male companion as well.
Cindy Vortex and Jimmy Neutron were celebrating their fourth anniversary since they had paired together at the volatile, impish age of eleven. It had been four days ago that Jimmy had introduced the Retroland locale for the famous date, and though Cindy would have preferred someplace fancy and romantic, she settled for putting upmost faith in her boyfriend to deliver the anniversary that she placed so high in her daydreams.
This will be good, she told herself, settling down next to Jimmy on the blanket, themselves wrapped in another blanket. Jimmy's dog, Goddard was curled up at the end of the blanket, rebooting for when he would wake once more. His close presence acted as a heater to warm their cold toes.
Impatient, Cindy turned her head to her companion. "What is the surprise?"
A chuckle. "If I told you then that would defeat the purpose of my hard work and planning." Jimmy's chocolate brown eyes were warm and held their boyish charm. Cindy's checks heated, but she remained stern. Jimmy rolled his eyes. "Just keep watching the sky, Vortex." he then turned back to observe the stars like twinkle lights lighting up the blue satin of the night sky.
Cindy huffed, about to bark a few choice words, when light fell upon her face and she looked up. Her eyes widened, and incredibility set her mouth in agape. "You messed with the weather again, didn't you?"
"A little."
