"I...don't know what to say."
"It's just a tightly compact form of plastic shaped in the form of costumery. I don't see why you're so aghast."
He said that, but the little flushes on his cheek in the most delectable of red tints told Cindy that her boyfriend thought otherwise. Cindy mused to herself, turning the plastic jewelry between two fingers, eyeing it curiously. She was mentally weighing the facts that, while a toy found in a snack box, it was still a gesture made by James Isaac Neutron, and even if just a gesture that he attempted (and failed) to write off as happenstance, Cindy knew that the "compact form of plastic" meant something.
Jimmy wouldn't be acting flustered if it wasn't.
Deciding to be benevolent upon the Teenage Genius's thoughtfulness, Cindy slips the costume jewelry on her left ring finger. She then holds her ring-wearing hand up to the dim, badly-needing-rewiring florescent lights of Jimmy's lab, and wryly smiles when light makes the shiny plastic wink.
"Whatever you say, Nerdtron."
